Airwolf è una serie televisiva americana andata in onda dal 1984 al 1987. Il programma è incentrato su un elicottero militare ad alta tecnologia, chiamato in codice Airwolf, e sul suo equipaggio che intraprende varie missioni, molte delle quali di spionaggio, in tema di Guerra Fredda.
La serie è stata creata da Donald P. Bellisario. Le prime tre stagioni sono state interpretate da Jan-Michael Vincent, Ernest Borgnine, Alex Cord e Jean Bruce Scott. Dopo la cancellazione della serie originale, una quarta stagione, con un cast completamente nuovo e con un budget molto più ridotto, è stata girata in Canada per USA Network.

- Bobby Winningham7 marzo 2025Hello,...The series "Airwolf", was a childhood memory in my life that truly inspired and caused me to realize the for all the bad people and things that are in the world today,..back then, it was an ascending, inspiration in my life, because, I chose good over evil, I began exploring my personal beliefs and morals, and knew it was just a television series, but for some odd reason, a child then in the 80's, I felt and feel today that the series is still one of the top 5 shows that I enjoyed as a child. My thanks to "Plex TV for the app on my phone that I can almost go to instantaneously, so that I can relax and watch most of my favorite shows, like Airwolf.

Stringfellow Hawke, a brooding ex-CIA pilot with a tragic past, flies the Airwolf, a sleek, heavily armed, supersonic helicopter built for covert missions. With Dominic Santini (Ernest Borgnine) by his side and “The Firm” pulling the strings, Hawke takes on intelligence ops while secretly searching for his missing brother, St. John. The tone? Gritty, moody and unmistakably ’80s. The synth heavy score, slow-motion takeoffs and aerial combat sequences made every episode feel like a mini action movie. Jan-Michael Vincent played it cool and haunted, while Borgnine brought warmth and old school charm. Watching it again feels like flipping through your childhood’s action packed scrapbook. The helicopter was the star, but the emotional undercurrent, grief, loyalty, justice, gave it staying power. And yes, that theme song still slaps.
