Ru is a member of the Director's Guild of America Assistant Director Training Program Class of 2021. Ru's pronouns are Ru/Ru's, and They for strangers. Ru is a member of The Road Theatre Company and a performer at Upright Citizen's Brigade and Second City. They are also the drummer and backing vocalist for the political punk band People's Militia.
