The acting and direction are both good, and I'd highly recommend it. I loved how it shuts down the people who say, 'Why do people keep crying about the past?' Usually, the people saying that have never faced real trauma. The film shows how childhood scars stay with you for life, and how hard it is for a victim to forgive a parent who failed to protect them when they were kids. Not about this film but a major issue with modern cinema is the forced shoehorning of Western relationship dynamics specifically the casual normalization of open relationships and divorce into narratives where they simply do not fit. Instead of exploring these complex themes organically, filmmakers often lazily transplant Western cultural trends onto local stories.
