While there, Damon discovers his alcoholic mother (Doris Dowling), who falls down a flight of stairs while struggling to get away from her son. Along the way, the kids' parents provide the viewer with insight about their children's troubled lives. The final film of both Farmer and Driscoll before they moved to television work.
