Dove guardare The Orphanage
- Niztradamus25 agosto 2025It's a heartbreaking story of a mother that has lost her child. The acting is excellent but it's more of a drama than a horror movie. Yes, there are scares, yes, there are spooky things happening but I would wager this movie belongs more in the fantastical drama genre than in horror. I found it a bit boring because of that but I can see how someone could really love this movie. As a conniseur of the horror genre that has seen thousands of horror movies this one just didn't do it for me. If you are however someone that prefers to watch family dramas and wants to dabble in horror, you could do much worse than this movie. You'll probably even love it.

Dei bambini stanno giocando. Sono gli ospiti di un orfanotrofio e una di loro, Laura, sta per andarsene perché adottata. Divenuta adulta Laura torna in quel luogo con il marito Carlos. Vuole farlo divenire un istituto accogliente per bambini bisognosi di cure come Simon, il piccolo che ha adottato. Il bambino è affetto dall'HIV e non gli resta molto da vivere. Simon ha degli amici immaginari che però lasciano anche impronte sul terreno. Laura cerca di assecondarlo ma non riesce a togliersi di dosso la paura. Finché un giorno giunge un'anziana assistente sociale che consegna un dossier sul piccolo. La stessa donna sarà sorpresa una notte ad aggirarsi nei pressi del magazzino degli attrezzi. Qualche tempo dopo Simon, che ha scoperto la malattia di cui è affetto, scompare nel corso di una festa. Laura precipita nell'abisso dell'angoscia.
