- jackmeat26 aprile 2026My quick rating - 5.8/10. To really appreciate this movie, you should be familiar with 50s scifi and mix it up with the remake of The Thing. Not close to as good as Carpenters classic but you get the point. The flick has a subtle way of not getting absorbed in the technology that looks quite impressive and serves as just background. Liev Schreiber as always shows absolutely no emotions throughout the movie, well, maybe a little at the end. Is not acting good acting? Something about his acting is just that. I am confusing myself LOL. I would hate to play poker with him. Anyway, the movie has been done before, and better and much worse. Last days on an expedition on Mars, disaster happens and when the ground collapses and a crew member falls in, the rescue brings home something along with it. You can fill in the blanks. The movie breezes by at 1.5 hours, so there is little time for wasted moments. I think if they branched out instead of playing it so safe with the borrowed elements from other flicks, they could've really had something. Instead, you get a well made retread of a familiar story. Enjoy.
