Ida e sua sorella Anna affetta da sindrome di Down si trasferiscono insieme ai genitori in un nuovo quartiere. Ida, inizialmente spaesata e infastidita dal trasferimento, riesce ben presto a fare amicizia con Benjamin, un ragazzino dal fascino alquanto sinistro che sembra dotato di poteri speciali. A questi si aggiungerà Aisha, che per qualche motivo non chiaro, riesce a connettersi e a comunicare telepaticamente con Anna. Questo bel quadretto che ritrae quattro amici che trascorrono insieme la mite estate norvegese all'insegna del paranormale non è però destinato a durare. Ben, esplorando i suoi poteri, cede sempre più al suo lato oscuro, macchiandosi di crimini efferatissimi. Riusciranno le tre bambine a fermarlo?

It’s a bit slow getting into but the impressive and naturalistic performances from the 4 young leads allows the tension here to gradually intensify as the story gets darker and more disturbing. (and it definitely gets dark and disturbing—but I like that). Highly recommend if depravity is your thing. .
