Tatiana Maslany is just as incredible. She brings compassion, hurt, exhaustion, and love into every scene. Her character feels real because she is not portrayed as perfect. The relationship between her and Gyllenhaal’s character is filled with tension and emotion because it shows how trauma affects every person involved, not just the one who survived the event.
