I've always felt that stories following a hero's journey like Captain Kirk's are only as good as the strength of their villain. And this film has quite a powerful one, where our hero has to rely on a multiverse of support to even stand a chance.

- vicaul7 aprile 2026I always forget how feel good this Star Trek movie is. Keep in mind, this was my first real Star Trek. I love it. The opening sequence, always makes me cry, lots of small giggles and squeezing the pillow moments. Even on a re-watch. I have seen people complain about how the engineering segments aboard the ship look (like a factory they filmed in) and I agree it is different. But suspending those comments. I think it's immersive and holds up great. Lot's of fun.

It truly felt like a passing of the torch. This film proved that Star Trek could be reinvented for a new generation while honoring the legacy that made it iconic.
