Every year a group of brigands plunders the village of Savalan. On the advice of the village headman the people of the village seek help opposing the brigands from a group of mercenaries led by Dorbush Khan. A youth named Salam also joins them. The mercenaries receive an enthusiastic welcome from the people of Savalan. Dorbush Khan and his group, who intend to plunder the people of Savalan first before they deal with the brigands, soon encounter opposition from the people.
