Chris 'Izzy' Coles è forse il più devoto fan del gruppo heavy metal Steel Dragon. Di giorno ripara fotocopiatrici, ma di sera si scatena sul palco con la sua cover band, i Blood Pollution. Le loro covers sono talmente simili alle canzoni originali e Chris imita Bobby Beers, il cantante degli Steel Dragon, in maniera così perfetta che le loro serate hanno la stessa atmosfera dei concerti della sua band preferita. Un giorno però le cose per Chris si mettono male, il suo gruppo ha deciso di cacciarlo e lui è disperato. Ma qualcosa di molto speciale sta per accadere: una telefonata lo avverte che è stato scelto per sostituire Bobby Beers come cantante dei veri Steel Dragon.

- Michael Surber16 novembre 2025Ok, I'll be the first to admit this isn't EXACTLY how it was back in the 80s metal scene, but it's darn close! This epic film started out as a Judas Priest biopic but they soon distanced themselves from it. Too bad because this is a great movie if you lived thru this musical decade. Definitely had its haters but I freaking love this movie. Fantastic band to support Mark on stage including Zakk Wilde. Gimme blood!!

It carries the familiar rise-and-fall energy of a music biopic, but sidesteps real history in favor of pure fiction, which gives it a surprisingly refreshing edge. Drop a modern star like Austin Butler into this kind of role, release it today and it would absolutely find its audience. I chuckled when they played "Good Vibrations" during the credits.
