- angeltread7 agosto 2026I know id seen this but remembered nothing. Once i saw it had Duvall wanted to check it out again. This is straight up mom movie to the max. Predictable down to the last frame, but for all schmaltzy lite rock, emotionally manipulative, predictable beats, it’s performances are honest and real for the most part and sometimes its ok to just let the movie dictate you through its intended emotions. This was In the height of the Travolta 90s renaissance, he's never amazing but he's never really bad as I'm sure some would say he is. Duvall is pretty typical for him but thats never means bad either, just average for him which is always a very high bar regardless. I loved his “you always gotta tear him down” rant. Delivered with power and grace. Although i dont have much to say about Sedgwick that is good thing, like Duvall she always delivers. I also liked it when Data got “Data”ed.
- cmil9225 luglio 2026I’ve always been confused as to why this movie is poorly reviewed. It’s a heartfelt drama, surprisingly emotional at times and the performances ring true and the characters and relationships feel real. Robert Duvall instantly improves any movie he’s in, and Travolta is solid as the everyman with a special gift. Definitely worth a watch.
