Never Let Go - A un passo dal male Ratings e Recensioni
- DJ17 ottobre 2024Aja is a solid horror director and it continues to show with Never Let Go. This is a woods isolation movie about a small family whose mom is either mentally unstable or sees evil. It’s pretty bleak, and has hints of Aja’s past work more than his most recent stuff. It’s not perfect, but if you are a fan of stuff like A Quiet Place or Bird Box, it’s along those lines.
- Enes Şahin27 febbraio 2026I think it's a different and good film. It kept me on edge in many scenes. It's a film with good suspense. Also, Anne is protecting the children from something, but I didn't understand why. The film didn't explain it, or maybe I missed it. It left me with many questions. Why did the woman come to that house, or why doesn't she leave? Were the things they saw hallucinations, or is the woman schizophrenic or something? I think it's neither very bad nor very good. I gave it a 5 out of 10. Apart from that, is it worth watching? I think so. Give it a chance.
- jip van de laar10 luglio 2025Its a good movie but youre left with a lot of questions afterwards. I wish they would’ve explained the backstory and history more to help you understand the past better.
- Kevin Ward1 luglio 2025This has a number of things going for it. I love this kind of high concept, horror thriller aspect involving the rope. Hold onto the rope and you’re safe, let go and you’re in danger. Then the film proceeds to create a bunch of scenarios where characters are forced to let go of the rope. It’s a premise which creates a simple mechanism to ratchet up the tension in any scene. Similar to films like I Am Legend (you’re safe in the daylight, but not in the dark), or even A Quiet Place (you’re safe if you’re silent, but dead if you make noise.) And for the first half of this film this high concept works as intended with some excellent tension and some genuine chills. One moment taking place in the shed stands out in my memory. There is far less moments of gore than I was expecting from an Aja film, though, which was slightly disappointing. Halle Berry’s character engrains in her two sons to never let go of the rope—that there are evil spirits that can harm them if they do. There is an interesting dynamic that happens when one son begins to question their mother’s intensions, and even her sanity. This dynamic felt ripe for an exploration of faith and skepticism, indoctrination and apostasy. Unfortunately, that exploration never gets fully realized. As an audience we know there is something afoot with these woods. Is it monsters? Zombies? Ghosts? Demons? Hallucinations? A Simulation? Or is it all a lie? It’s when the film starts to reveal the answers as to what the evil is that my enjoyment started to wane. The ending of the film isn’t really very satisfying, nor does it make very much sense in my mind. While there were some elements that I really liked and some solid child performances as the two brothers, by the end I didn’t feel like the payoff made the journey worthwhile. Disappointing.
- Allie Tran30 maggio 2025Never Let Go was a bit of a disappointment that relied heavily on stereotypical CGI jump scares. The concept of the film was very creepy and the acting was good, but the scares just didn’t do it for me.
- MacMiniMovies30 maggio 2025Good idea, bad story
- stuhannaford15 maggio 2025I enjoyed it. I’m not entirely sure I can tie all the loose ends up in my mind, nor can I shake off the feeling that the finale is a little bit of a let down, after the build up. The back and forth of ‘is it’ or ‘isn’t it’ works well and keeps you guessing. As a dog lover, I had anxiety when their loyal dog was on screen… I’ll say no more.
- missiledawg713 aprile 2025It was ok, weird twist
- DigitalDisappointment13 febbraio 2025What a totally stupid piece of fekkin' crap. Could the movie have made LESS sense? Probably. Do I know HOW? Not at all. Arguably the worst piece of junk I've wasted two hours on in years.
- Scott14 dicembre 2024There’s some interesting ideas around generational trauma that I feel are better explored in the movie Relic.

- arians20 ottobre 2024Confusing
- celtic8819 ottobre 2024Kind of boring and stupid
- David Scarpa19 ottobre 2024The atmosphere was top notch but I found some of the plot elements kinda ridiculous, still an ok flick
- gos201114 ottobre 2024It’s a great idea at first good acting but soon you realize what’s happening and it gets boring
