    The internet has overrated this movie. There is entertainment in it, but it's pretty dry by today's standard. David Bowie is, as you may expect, the saving grace of this movie. It's absurd, kind of creepy in some sense, but it'll always be entertaining to me.

    I liked everything in the movie expect I did feel let down by David Bowie's part sorry to say.. I found him stiff, the songs and his singing weak, a bit panto really, and the whole codpiece thing is just funny and a bit inappropriate when you look into the meaning behind it. Anyway it maybe that l he was just given free reign to play it that way and some one else might find him charming. Otherwise the movie has lots of fun scenes with Jennifer Connelly and the muppets.

    Very creative and original. I just can't do all the wet puppetry and design. Not my bag. Connelly was great, though.

    The scene near the end with all the stairs has always bothered me but it is well executed and the puppeteer for Hoggle was fantastic I sometimes forget it's not a person in makeup but a puppet. Its a great watch, very nostalgic
