- ርልዪረ11 marzo 2025Well, it didn't wait very long. Monster gets blown out of its cave and is off to wreak havoc. I think I liked this movie despite itself. The special effects are not inspiring, but the central character is, if not sympathetic, then at least almost likeable. And she is very adept with early-warning systems made of empty tin cans. The monster has a grimly ironic side to its character and I would like to have learned a little more about it. It was unfortunate that the one person who did understand its origins ended up staked to the road. The winged creature did have me thinking about Jeepers Creepers (which I continue to believe is that unlikely thing, a fairly original, terrifying monster movie), but this was far more contained. As was the monster. So to speak.
