He arrives, takes control, and treats the "respectable" citizens with the absolute contempt they’ve earned through their own spinelessness. It’s a masterclass in raw, alpha problem-solving. The film forces the residents, and the audience, to sit in the discomfort of a town that has traded its soul for stability. From the deliberate, messy renaming of the town to the cold, calculated way he prepares for a final reckoning, it’s a masterstroke of tension. If you’re tired of "white hat" clichés and want a Western that’s as blunt and unapologetic as a punch to the throat, this is it.
