Not only because you watch now in 2026 and it stands-up to time, but also because it was not made this year, it was made long ago when the special effects and genre were not so easy to produce on and off stage. Both for technology of movie making, but also the politics of movie making and the censorship authorities towards this genre at the time. This is part of Americana, and this is a must for anyone who even remotely enjoys horror and gore movies. But really, for anyone that loves movies, point blank!
- tellum19 agosto 2025Classic horror movie that blends a slasher with cosmic horror, and the acting and story telling is surprisingly good. Stylized film making for the time and the aesthetic of the cenobites still holds up. My only criticism is the ending is rushed and could have been constructed better, but still ends in a pretty cool way.
