My go-to Christmas Eve movie. A neglected psychedelic-horror classic. Absolutely crucial.

Longstanding classic from VHS days. It's still a great watch with the practical effects, and that perv Lincoln.

    Absolute garbage in all respects

This is such a crazy good movie! Unbelievable practical effects, and the whole movie stands up so well. I loved the cast and the music. I can't believe I've never seen this before. Brilliant movie!

Undisputedly, inarguably, definitively Dylan McDermott’s finest performance. Also it’s a low-budget, cyberpunk fever-dream that probably got played a lot on background TVs in late 80s goth clubs cranking industrial dance music. While visually interesting in an early Trent Reznor home video sort of way, there’s some ingenuity on display regarding set design and lighting. Everything else is plot driven theatrics stunted by disjointed pacing and often intelligible dialogue. Loads of quality gore, but its impact is offset by the silly plot devices and character simplification that leads to wasted FX in telegraphed scenes with no surprises, suspense, or investment in the outcome. Dylan McDermott has never been better, so it’s definitely a must watch for anyone that appreciates Tony “The Golden Boy” McD’s filmography. Or anyone that loves an aesthetic of destroyed analog electronics heaped in piles, covered in nests of wires and tubing, with analog tape hanging from the ceiling like garland. Pretty much everyone.

Fantastic lighting and cinematography. Acting is decent. Nice practical effects. The soundtrack kicks a**. The storytelling feels a bit muddied, but, overall, it’s a very enjoyable cyberpunk film. Hardware will definitely be cycling through my rewatch list.
