- kayllisti26 febbraio 2025I love this movie. Hackers is a guilty pleasure movie of mine. Is this an Oscar deserving movie? No. Is this movie a lot of fun from start to finish? Yes! And, as a side note, the hacking in this movie is actually pretty accurate even if the visual depictions of are completely Ludacris. This movie is also a great time capsule of the 90's.
- KillerRoo18 gennaio 2026This movie was everything I wanted hacking to be, back in the day (while knowing full well the actual computing and a lot of the jargon were total bunk). It had the soundtrack, the rollerblades, the alternative lifestyles, VR, nontraditional arcade, the internal media references to circumstances. I was basically a mix of Joey & Cereal while wanting to be as cool as Dade or Nikon or Phreak. Always wanted a friendship where I could say “it’s in that place where I put that thing that time!” and have us both know what I mean.

- hbxc13 ottobre 2026As someone who works in cybersecurity, I consider this a classic, iconic movie that, for me as a kid/teenager, really got me into hacker culture and cybersecurity. Is it outdated and inaccurate, sure, but it's a fun movie that touches on the hacker subculture the way it was meant to be. Love this movie, and love watching it during Cybersecurity Awareness Month.

Some of the hacking stuff was ridiculous, but it was part of what made this so fun to watch. Matthew Lillard as Cereal Killer was definitely a highlight too 😂
- Patrickveen16 giugno 2026This movie has always been a favorite of mine. Even though it is from 1995, the plot is still relevant. The acting is not perfect but that gives the movie its charm. One of the main characters "cereal killer" gives the whole movie a humoristic flow. The music is simply epic. Just for the music alone this is a must See. If you like computers and not too serious about it then go check it

- Eldon McGuinness31 gennaio 2025This is a must-see for anybody that is in the IT world, you will absolutely love the way that they depict the internet as well as technology throughout the course of this movie. The characters seem to not just follow the formula of hacker = young adults + superiority complex, they actually seem to define it. The props are great and the choice of actors for the time was brilliant. Did I mention the hacker names are absolutely a work of teenage poetry? If you have a few minutes and walk into it knowing that you're not coming out of this movie knowing how to " hack the planet," you'll enjoy it.
