Just before his arrival, two bungling burglars attempt to burglarize the house, one remaining outside to watch. While on the watch, the would-be burglar whistles to his companion inside for a match to light his pipe. This indiscretion was their undoing, but it worked fortunately for the young lover, who got an opportunity to play hero.
