Get the Gringo stands as a reminder of Gibson’s enduring talents as a leading man. While it never set out to reinvent the genre, it’s top-drawer work within its field: a sharp, entertaining, and well-crafted action thriller that plays to its star’s unique charisma. For those with a soft spot for Gibson, and his unique blend of action and humour, it’s a film that more than earns its cult appreciation.
