    Not a good movie but enjoyable

    What a stupid ass movie, but still entertaining — that pretty much sums it up perfectly. The plot is absolute nonsense, the science is hilarious if you think about it for more than five seconds, and some of the dialogue feels like it was written during a caffeine overdose. That said, I can’t fully hate it because the movie is at least committed to the chaos. The disaster scenes are fun, Gerard Butler is doing Gerard Butler things, and it moves so fast you barely have time to question how ridiculous everything is. Definitely not a good movie, but as dumb popcorn entertainment, I’ve seen way worse.

    The tech in the movie is cool and I wish we could have something like it today. VFX are pretty great, but the casting is all wrong.

    It's a "sit down and turn your brain off" kind of movie, but the VFX are good.

    A decent popcorn flick. Given the number of times the world has come to an apocalyptic end in film, this one was pretty creative. Don't expect Citizen Cane or 2001 levels of brilliance and you'll do just fine watching it.
