In un mondo non definito nel tempo e nello spazio Zak e Marie si incontrano da bambini (i bambini della scuola che frequentano hanno tutti nomi di scienziati famosi, lui si chiama in realtà Isaac Newton e lei Marie Curie). Zak si innamora subito di Marie ma lei non ricambia, almeno apparentemente, perché una differenza basilare glielo impedisce. Lei corrisponde a una 'frequenza' altissima, lui bassissima: sono perciò incompatibili e se si incrociano per più di un minuto scatenano eventi violenti e assurdi. Inoltre, mentre la frequenza bassissima di lui si concretizza in un'estrema passionalità, nel caso di Marie è lei stessa a definirsi "The Machine", perché non prova emozioni (nemmeno nei confronti dei suoi familiari) e per mascherare questa incapacità finge costantemente, prendendo appunti sulle emozioni altrui e facendo esperimenti.

- joevans2723 dicembre 2024Don't believe the high reviews on here check IMDb. Whilst I agree the Frequency story sounds good in a short summary. It's gone wrong & becomes boring fast. This would have been a good opportunity for some c Company with a big budget it to tweak it and make a blockbuster.as it is it's a low budget British film. That doesn't a Effect my bias but the child actors & youngest were more interesting apart from teen Zak but Teen girl was dreadful & by time it got to them as adults I did not feel any chemistry from even adult Zak. He seemed to be a wannabe clone of the guy from The film Upside Down. Over a hour in and enough. The actings just not there nor the vibe. The biggest Plothole to this film unfortunately is it's biggest flaw. Luck brings Joy or it wouldn't be luck. If they wanted to go this robotic way they needed to Tone it down to a compromise . Again begging was intrigued but quickly zzzzz
