Terr è un Om domestico, adottato da Tiwa, una Draag, dopo che dei piccoli Draag per giocare hanno ucciso sua madre. I Draag sono alieni dalla pelle blu e alti decine di metri che abitano un pianeta di nome Ygam che ha, come unico satellite quello che viene chiamato il pianeta selvaggio. I Draag trattano gli Oms come animali domestici e li donano ai loro bambini per giocarci. Ma Terr un giorno scopre di riuscire ad imparare attraverso il macchinario che fornisce una istruzione alla sua padrona. Decide quindi di scappare durante una sessione di meditazione (in cui le menti dei Draag si staccano dal loro corpo) e si unisce ad un gruppo di Oms selvatici. Odiato per la sua istruzione, presto le sue conoscenze si rivelano essenziali alla sopravvivenza della sua specie.

- cloudsrival6 febbraio 2026I genuinely dislike this movie, but I respect its creativity. And I agree with the message of animal cruelty being wrong. However, the point is belabored in sophomoric ways. The exposition of "humans as pets" is VERY heavy-handed, and depicting ALL Draag (alien owners) as cruel is both offensive and misses the point of fostering animals in real life. Why do the Om use lesser animals as expendable if the premise is that the Draag unjustly torture Om in the same way? Hypocrisy. The movie is not pleasing, nor fun to watch, nor even to listen to. Someone took SERIOUS drugs to concoct this story and grotesque imagery, most of it is nightmarish--this coming from a lover of horror movies. Scenes where one can derive no allegory are unnecessary, with acid jazz and uncomfortable stylizations aiding the assault on your senses. All the tech jargon creates more feelings of illness as you continue to watch even the normal scenes. The creativity presented far exceeds anything a lucid mind could envision. It gets credit for that. But the movie itself should only be viewed as an experience, not as anything else. Run from people who list this acid trip as one of their favorites.
