    My all time favorite film. It was designed to be a philosophical enigma. It is not supposed to have a really easy solution. This movie makes you think and in a very good way. If you look into time travel and partical accelerators, most of this film makes sense.

    Might be my favorite movie ever. Jake Gyllenhaal just looks creepy af, makes me want to hurt him every time he's on screen because I feel like I have to stop him before he does something. Top 3 concepts for me.

    Every millennial teenager thought they were tops for knowing about this "hidden gem" - but joke aside, it really is great. Stick to the theatrical cut though, the directors cut is overcooked.

    Donnie Darko is weird in the best way darkly funny, unsettling, and impossible to fully understand on the first watch. The performances and soundtrack stand out, and the confusing moments are part of the fun. It’s the kind of movie that sticks with you and makes you want to talk about it, even if you’re not sure you “got it.”

    I've seen this movie quite a few times but this version had some edits that added more information so you can understand the story. It's helpful but probably not as confusing when you see it for the first time without the added information.
