This isn't a great movie, yet alone a good one, but I find it compelling and part of my Thanksgiving blood movie festival. It has terrible effects, ridiculous plot, a creepy cop, and an amazing killer who says 5000 years ago like a god. It isn't as good as 2000 Maniacs or Wizard of Gore, but stands the test of time with its absurdity. Recommended to people who like a trashy cannibal movie.

Production values on this baby were through the floor boards on this one. Some of the worst cinematography (I kind of cringe even calling it that), lighting, editing, sound design, score (again do we call it a score?), that I’ve seen in a while.  BUT, there’s something about all of that bad that had me really enjoying this. (And not even in the typical, it’s so bad it’s good kind of way). First, Fuad Ramses, you are one creepy m-f-er and I could not stop staring at those eye brows. Second, without having read any of my fellow slasher reviews, I know some of you are going to talk about Tony. Tony gives an all time, over-the-top, screechy, Kyle Rittenhouse-y,  fake crying performance I’ve seen in a while. If I hadn’t known for a fact Tony did not kill her, I would have thought that he definitely killed her. But what I love about Tony is I think he’s taking one for the team here. He is going for it here in an effort to elevate everyone else’s performances—or at least make them seem not so bad.
I have to admit, I was super tired watching this after spending a full day walking Athens and the Acropolis and I actually fell asleep several times watching this. BUT because this brisk slasher is a lean mean 67 minutes, I was able to back track each time I dozed, and still finish it.
I know I didn’t list many positives, but I really dug watching this movie. Having been a part of a few indie (using the term loosely) films (using the term even more loosely), I will always dig these kinds of flicks.
