- Aaron25 maggio 2026Low budget and a bit goofy to be sure. Blood Clots has a genuine endearing quality about it despite its low budget and humorous antics. Anthology films and horror comedy are both difficult subgenres to get right, blood clots does an admiral job of recognizing its shortcomings and leaning into them in an effort to make them work when so many others have mistakenly gone meta. Perhaps both most surprising and also its biggest strength is that it doesn't allow anyone segment, or the movie itself, to overstay it's welcome. With a 13 minute credit sequence this "film" barely hits one hour in length of actual screenplay and so no one segment ever feels like it runs too long. This was fun and is definitely something I'd recommend and will plan to revisit often. It's perfect for a horror comedy or anthology marathon and is worth a look to be sure.
