- jasonfin211 maggio 2026Now This Is A Love Story! What a fantastic film with amazing performances from Gena Rowlands and Peter Falk. The soundtrack was also top notch. As my title says, this is a true love story, not a manufactured romance fable which is the typical Hollywood fare served up. This deals with real issues, real problems, the strain that puts on the romantic partner and children and how they must come through it by holding tight, seeking help from close family and friends and most of all forgiving each others failings. No character in this movie is perfect, in fact most are deeply flawed just like real life. There are no magic solutions and no magic bullets just the struggle and the love which rises above it. As someone who's been married for 20 years, my advice for any young men and women thinking of marriage is to watch this film and consider how strong your love would be in these circumstances depicted in the movie or similar. If you think you can survive that, go for it but if not reconsider. Something like the circumstances in the film will happen along the way, physical illness, mental illness, addiction etc etc. It will either break you or bind you closer together.
