- Callum6 novembre 2025⭐⭐½ – 18-Year-Old Virgin – Crass, Clichéd, and Completely Forgettable 18-Year-Old Virgin tries to follow in the footsteps of American Pie, swapping out the male perspective for a female lead and turning the same setup on its head — a teenager racing against time to lose her virginity before graduation. On paper, that reversal could have been interesting; in practice, it’s just more of the same, only louder and less funny. The film leans hard on stereotypes — every character is an exaggerated version of a high-school cliché, every joke feels recycled, and the “shocking” moments never rise above mildly awkward. There’s a little more skin than its predecessors, but less charm, and it never manages to find the balance between comedy and empathy that made American Pie work. It’s the kind of movie that might have landed better if you’d seen it as a teenager looking for easy laughs and mild rebellion. Watching it now, it just feels hollow — a checklist of raunchy scenes without any real warmth or wit to tie them together. One viewing is more than enough; this is background noise for nostalgia’s sake, not something you’ll ever queue up again. 🍺 Pairing: A cheap light beer — bland, overhyped, and tolerable only once for curiosity’s sake.
- l DemoLyingLo I9 marzo 2025Don't watch with headphones. The audio for the dialogue is only on the left track and the music can't decide whether it wants to be mono or stereo. You can literally hear it change in the middle of songs. Speaking of songs, most of the budget had to go to the soundtrack. I've never heard so many different off-brand artists and songs. As far as bad movies go, the scenes are decently shot, for a softcore at least. The sex is awkward, naturally. And the characters throughout the whole movie have nothing to do except wait to be in another awkward scene. "What was the direction for this?" or "why would the director have him do that?" and "What drugs were the writers using for this to make it into the script?" are all questions I asked during the runtime of the movie. One joke in the whole movie made me laugh, and it was earned, I'll give it that. But most of the dialogue is hardly believable and random. But the worst part? The worst part is they actually show full nudity! This is what justifies the R rating, sure. But this is the best they could do, and that is just criminal. Time I will never get back. My left ear feels molested and abused, my brain is scrambled, and my body feels gross. I should have been intoxicated for this, I should have never watched it, despite reading the other TWO reviews, and I now have to go all the way down to the chapel and make a confession. What am I going to tell Father? How am I going to describe the atrocities that have been committed this very night? God help us all...
