Pixels

Pixels
I watched Pixels on streaming and to my surprise, I had a lot of fun with it.
The movie leaned into its video game nostalgia, turning classic arcade characters into larger than life threats and that playful concept made it entertaining.
It wasn’t trying to be high art, it was aiming for lighthearted spectacle and in that sense, it delivered.
The humor was goofy, the action sequences were colorful and the whole thing felt like a love letter to retro gaming wrapped in a blockbuster package.
While critics were harsh, I don’t think it deserves all the hate. Sometimes a movie’s job is simply to entertain and Pixels did exactly that.
It’s the kind of film where you can sit back, enjoy the ride and smile at the absurdity of seeing Pac-Man and Donkey Kong wreak havoc in the real world.
