Jack's Back

Jack's Back
A young doctor is suspected when a series of Jack the Ripper copycat killings is committed. However, when the doctor himself is murdered, his identical twin brother claims to have seen visions of the true killer.
The performance by Jimmy Spades is the only thing that makes this movie watchable. Otherwise it’s a convoluted gimmicky mess featuring twins, dream fake-outs, hypnotism, dopey detectives and a very dumb scene that’s just an excuse to get Cynthia Gibb to strip to her underwear.
It’s so obvious who ISN’T the killer but the movie keeps trying to trick us into thinking otherwise. We’re left to just wait it out to see which of the other side characters we’ve met will be revealed as the true killer. Truly forgettable.
The movie’s biggest crime is that it completely wastes the great Robert Picardo as an incredibly dull police psychologist.
