- Callum5 novembre 2025⭐⭐⭐½ – The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers – Skating on Nostalgia A heartfelt revival that laces up its skates with every intention of recapturing the underdog magic of the 90s classics. Once again, we’re pulled into a world where hockey isn’t just a sport — it’s a moral compass, a family glue, and the stage for redemption stories that unfold one slapshot at a time. Emilio Estevez returns as Gordon Bombay, grizzled and bitter, pretending he’s done with hockey. But that façade melts faster than ice in spring once the new team of misfits stumbles into his life. From there, it’s a classic Ducks setup: mismatched kids, exasperated parents, and a reluctant coach rediscovering his love for the game through the people who need it most. The nostalgia is rich — familiar faces, callbacks, and even echoes of those training montages that once made us believe anything was possible with enough heart and teamwork. But while these moments tug at memories, they never quite deepen the story. Without Charlie, the emotional backbone of the originals is missing, and younger viewers—untethered from the old films—won’t feel the same chill of recognition when the Zamboni rolls past. Still, Game Changers is an easy watch. It’s wholesome, predictable, and sincere, a gentle echo of an era when sports dramas wore their lessons proudly on their sleeves. It doesn’t reinvent the game, but it does remind us why we fell in love with it in the first place. 🥤 Pairing: A frosty root beer — fizzy, nostalgic, and just sweet enough to take you back to the simpler victories of youth, when every win felt like the Stanley Cup.
