The first 2 seasons especially are one of if not the very best seasons of a television show that I've ever seen!!! And those first 2 seasons are 5 Stars & 10/10s! However after season 2 even though it was still solid, they were never able to recapture the sheer scale, epicness, brilliance & quality of those first 2 seasons; it felt like it had lost its full impact & spark! And I found the last 2 seasons especially could have been done better. The acting from everybody and in particular Elisabeth Moss as June Osborne/ Offred is phenomenal for the whole 6 seasons! Elisabeth Moss is one of the best actresses that I've ever seen, that was such a tricky part to play as the character goes through so many different emotions and developments throughout the 6 seasons. This show rests mainly on her shoulders as she's the face and main character of the show. And my god does she put her absolute heart & soul into all 6 seasons. All of the acting all across the board is all top tier as well. The settings, production design and dialogue fires on all cylinders. There's so much that The Handmaid Tale has going for it the cinematography makes it look and feel like that we're watching a movie. I will say the cinematography throughout the 6 seasons is really spectacular to look at. Overall The Handmaid's Tale is a show that's very very solid and is one of those shows despite not quite fulfilling it's maximum potential is one of those shows you must watch before you die a 💯 Just expect a decline after season 2 that's all.

Top show can’t believe it’s drawing to a close :(

Who could have predicted this story would be so relevant for today's society?

With a premise like this, this show really had potential to be something incredible if they had kept it to three tight seasons as opposed to one or two stronger ones and four seasons of sloppy messy, unnecessary unfocused narrative. The final few episodes have a heavy lift of trying to mop up all the messes while still trying to deliver a satisfactory conclusion.

This series started off so great and it was the only reason I joined Hulu. Those first couple of seasons during the pandemic were just absolutely brilliant, and I binge them with my wife. The very last season was such a letdown, especially the last couple of episodes. Watch it just for the first couple seasons and then write your own story. You’re better off that way.

An indelibly told story about a dystopia that our real world is plummeting toward, The Handmaid's Tale is more horrific and disturbing than any slasher or thriller you've seen. The struggles of women and the atrocities committed in the name of faith and religion show the lengths people are willing to go to either debase themselves to seek power in the smallest of crevices - but most importantly, the self-preservation attitude they always maintain, even when in pursuit of something that seems to affect the "greater good". With the finale, I'm left heartbroken, but renewed, knowing that change can't happen in a day - just like Rome wasn't built in one.

This was an incredible show. I love dystopian books/movies/shows especially if they are spreading awareness of what could be if we continue down certain paths. I enjoyed it so much up until season 5. Season 5 was so boring to me and then I almost didn’t want to finish season 6 but did anyways because it was the last season. This show has a really good run and it truly was a good watch but the ending was very unrealistic in my opinion and not super satisfying.

Such wonderful world building, only to be undone by how little I could care about Offred's off-putting character. I want back the 5-minutes PER EPISODE of her close-up, scowling face.

Completely unbelievable. The dystopian taken to the leftist wet dream. It is gross beyond measure. It's explicit and gross. The writers low view of the religious beliefs that built the free west.
