In a bombing attack, officers from a Border Guard unit in the Bieszczady Mountains are killed. Only one of them survives. As a result of the attack, Captain Wiktor Rebrow loses not only his friends, but above all his beloved Ewa. Lost and devastated, he tries to find out what really happened and who is behind it all. His superiors are also determined to uncover the truth, while the official investigation is led by the prosecutor’s office. The story takes place in the Bieszczady — a place both magical and dangerous. The titular “pack” stands guard over Poland’s eastern border, the external border of the European Union, where people, drugs, and weapons are smuggled — for money, profit, and sometimes for a chance at a better life. Every border guard swears to protect the sovereignty and integrity of the state’s borders, and to safeguard the interests and security of its citizens.

Épisode #1.3Rebrow is haunted by the thought that Ewa is alive. A group of illegal immigrants is walking along the main human trafficking route. During the chase after one of the guides, Rebrow notices a mysterious shape on the forest clearing.

Épisode #1.4The case turns to be more complex than it appeared to be. DA Dobosz is interrogating Rebrow at the police station. Markowski is ordered to clear things up in his unit. Meanwhile, Natalia's body is discovered in Bieszczady.

Épisode #1.5During the search of Natalia's murder scene, Dobosz finds Rebrow's lighter. Later, in Kalita's hiding place she finds the gun which was used to shoot Kosowski and Ewa, and also a Rebrow's blood stained shirt. Kalita and Rebrow are arrested.

Épisode #1.6Natalia's funeral is staged in Warsaw. Rebrow asks for a meeting with DA Dobosz and confesses to killing Natalia. During the inspection at the crime scene, Rebrow flees. The police and Border Guard officers set off on a chase.
