Things become extremely dangerous when Leitmayr decides to investigate the case alone, putting his life in peril. Angelika Weiss is outraged: Chief Inspector Batic simply brushes her off when she tries to report the cosmetics company Pelzer for illegal animal testing. Shortly afterward, Batic and Leitmayr are called to the scene where a body has been found. They recognize the deceased as Angelika Weiss. She was killed by a dog bite. Suspicion strongly suggests that the culprit may have been a trained fighting dog. The forensic pathologist determines that the child was raped and died of internal injuries. Since there is no missing person report, the police only manage to find the girl's mother after a few detours.
