Lexx Notations et commentaires

- Richard26 octobre 2025Watched it and it felt like late-night sci-fi fever dream dipped in camp, kink and Canadian weirdness. This cult classic follows the crew of the Lexx, a living spaceship shaped like a dragonfly and armed with planet destroying firepower. Onboard? A cowardly security guard (Stanley Tweedle), an undead assassin (Kai), a love slave with a libido dialed to eleven (Xev/Zev) and a lovesick robot head (790). Together, they stumble through two universes, dodging tyrants, lusting, dying, reviving and occasionally saving something. The tone? Gleefully unhinged. It’s part space opera, part dark comedy, part softcore fever dream. The effects are low-budget, the writing swings between brilliant and bonkers and the cast leans fully into the madness. Brian Downey and Michael McManus anchor the chaos with deadpan charm, while Xenia Seeberg and Eva Habermann bring pulp sex appeal with surprising emotional depth. Watching it again feels like digging up a VHS tape from your weird cousin’s basement, nostalgic, messy and somehow still compelling.
