Sur les traces du meurtrier de son père, Ryûko Matoi, 17 ans, arrive dans une ville dominée par l’académie Honnôji, un institut d’élite placé sous le joug de Satsuki Kiryûin, présidente du conseil des élèves. La jeune fille découvre un système méritocratique, où les uniformes Goku, dotés de pouvoirs surnaturels, assurent à leurs porteurs une domination absolue. Transférée dans cet établissement et armée du « Scissor Blade » et vêtue de Senketsu, son uniforme aux pouvoirs sanguinaires, Ryûko s’érige en tant qu’unique opposante à ce régime tyrannique. Perçue désormais comme une menace par la direction, elle décide de défier Satsuki, dans l’espoir de faire la lumière sur les événements passés.

There are great meanings and deep ideas lost with the fan service but also that's kind of needed to have impact with some of the topics I could look past a lot but that white hair lady needs to go to jail.

- Lucas Craparotta4 mai 2025Kill la Kill is a show I have pretty mixed feelings about. On one hand, it’s a wild, flashy ride that’s a lot of fun to watch. But on the other hand, it's more style than substance. It's disappointing, considering the talent behind it, Masahiko Ôtsuka and Hiroyuki Imaishi, who already showed that with FLCL and TTGL, you can have both.
