- TheMovieWall-3 jI’m currently 3 episodes into this series thoroughly enjoying the show so far. It is pretty dark but I feel like the story has really grabbed my attention. The cast is really good. Emmy Rossum is doing an excellent job as FBI agent Alice Black. Her character used to be a cop but went to the FBI after a relationship gone bad with another cop who abused her. You can feel her anguish and emotion while dealing with her ex and the trauma of her past. This all gets entwined with her search for a new serial killer on the loose. Her past police partner and sidekick on the show is played by actor Scoot Mcnairy another amazing actor from one of my favorite all time shows Halt and Catch Fire. The serial killer we find out was formerly sex trafficked and is now on the hunt for the men who abused her. While Alice is on the case she is dealing with stress and conflict from many different angles. You feel for her and honestly I don’t see how she can keep going forward like she is without some sort of breakdown coming. It is intense. Looking forward to catching new episodes as they come out!
