- makdelart1 mai 2026I’ve watched both versions: the 3-hour cinema cut and the over 5-hour TV cut. I definitely recommend the full version: the cinema version feels like a rough draft, focusing on the main plotline and is decidedly poorer. Most scenes in the TV version are more expansive and elaborate, whereas in the cinema version they’ve been cut down, and a whole host of scenes (including significant ones) are missing from the latter altogether. The film itself is a melancholic and magical tale of childhood, memories of the family home, of life, love, transience and death, of religion, of worldly and spiritual matters, where bawdiness mingles with metaphysics.
