- alex22932-1 jYeah Brilliant Series, Series 1 is good but Series 2 is even better, but watch Series 1 1st. Then the Christmas Special is even better, which comes after Series 2. Complete's the story. Excellent Example of Ricky Gervais's Writting and Acting skills. Also Stephen Merchant is brilliant too.
- ርልዪረ14 avril 2025I loved Derek, and thought The Office was ok, so I really didn't know what to expect when going into this series. After watching the entire first series, I felt the same way about it as I did with The Office, had funny and at times hilarious moments, but as a whole wasn't nothing special in my opinion, despite its entirely original concept. It was for this reason that I put off watching the rest of the series, but when I finally came around to watching it all, I loved it. Series 2 and the special are a great improvement on the first series, mainly due to the character development throughout, and a more interesting and engaging story line. The main three characters are perfectly acted and hilarious, especially Stephen Merchants character. Nice to see the likes of Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller pop in playing themselves, along with many other great actors. The special is a perfect and moving sum up to the story and is well deserving of its award. So I probably liked the second series and special nearly as much as I liked Derek (which was a 10/10 for me), and the first series was decent as well. On the whole, a great series and well worth the time and money for any gervais fan.
