- flavo4322 novembre 2025C.O.P.S. was one of those ’80s cartoons that hooked me instantly with its catchy slogan, “Fighting Crime in a Future Time.” I remember watching the entire series and loving the futuristic gadgets, the colourful settings, and the over-the-top character designs. The concept itself was great—a cyberpunk-inspired police force battling high-tech criminals—something that really stood out among the usual Saturday morning fare. But like many American cartoons of the era, it leaned heavily into formula and toy-friendly action, without the deeper world-building or emotional nuance you’d see in Japanese anime. As a kid, that didn’t matter; as an adult looking back, you can see how it gradually turned into another G.I. Joe—lots of style, fun voices, and explosive missions, but not much substance underneath. Still, despite its limitations, C.O.P.S. remains a nostalgic slice of ’80s cartoon creativity, memorable enough to stick with me long after the theme song stopped playing.
