Whereas the companion show satirizes gay life, "Banana" takes some of the fringe characters and puts them center stage in half hour dramas. As you would expect from Russell T Davies, the "Banana" episides are well-wrritten entertainment, focusing on LGBTQ characters and the issues that affect their lives. And, as with "Cucumber", their "ap-PEEL" isn't limited to queer audiences. 😜
