It's a slow decline, but it never recovers. Sadly, once the Reverand leaves the show (which is never explained) it loses some of its heart and its soul.

The crew? A mix of mercenaries, mystics and misfits, each with their own baggage and flair. Kevin Sorbo leads with Hercules in space energy, while Lisa Ryder, Lexa Doig and Keith Hamilton Cobb bring depth, sass and philosophical tension. The show swings between action packed space battles and metaphysical musings, sometimes brilliant, sometimes baffling. Watching it again feels like revisiting a sci-fi series that dared to be weird, ambitious and occasionally messy. The first season? Solid. Later seasons? A slow drift into chaos, especially after behind the scenes shakeups. But the heart, the idea of rebuilding hope in a broken universe, still resonates.
