Born and raised in Oakland, California, Perez started writing and drawing comic books as a child and later became a musician known as 'The Darkest Machines'. He is recognized for films such as Playing with Dolls: Havoc (2017) and Death Kiss (2018), where he also served as cinematographer and editor.
