He is an Egyptian director and scriptwriter. He received a bachelor's degree in film directing from the Higher Institute of Cinema in 1967. His ambition in childhood was not to be a film director but he wanted to be a journalist. On film, he directed "The Thongs", "The Land of Fear" and "Letters of the Sea".
