Un couple âgé vit dans un appartement parisien submergé de livres et de souvenirs. Lui est cinéphile, historien et théoricien du cinéma qui écrit un ouvrage sur les liens entre le 7e art et les rêves. Elle, psychanalyste à la retraite, est atteinte de la maladie d'Alzheimer. Amoureux et indispensables l'un à l'autre, ils vont vivre leurs derniers jours.

This is why I can’t ever be sober enough to become lucid Great film to watch on drugs - just as Gaspar intended! It’s his Amour x Twin Peaks: The Return x Prozac Nation (but applied to, like, ALL drugs) Some sad stuff, believe it or not! First off, spectacular direction, but that’s par for the course at this point. I totally forgot that this STARS horror maestro Dario Argento!!! Wild stuff. The wheezing sounds from his character weee way too good. He killed First act can easily apply to almost any mental illness. As someone with major depressive disorder, I was uneasy in how seen I felt. I see clearly now how Jeanne Dielman, 23, Quai du Commerce, 1080 Bruxelles inspired Gaspar, if I hadn’t already! Never knew where / when the scene would begin / end so it made the abrupt scene changes all the more discombobulating. The exceptional long takes and camerawork / editing certainly help! This house is a maze !!! Kind of reminds me of Sentimental Value. Europe must be going through something (always) Honestly surprised Monica Bellucci didn’t show up as a wink to the audience Added to The Non-English Niche
