- texas31930 juillet 2025Great movie… classic late 90s movie! No agenda or politics, great acting with storyline most millineals can get behind and especially Texans. They don’t make movies like this anymore without some type of woke over tone. Even the conflict between the Coach and the running back was tastefully built-in, addressed, revisited, and highlighted at the right time yet it wasn’t over powering and was part of several storylines brought together beautifully for the last act.

It’s funny because Varsity Blues mostly fails as the raunchy teen comedy it disguises itself to be but ends up being an almost profound rallying cry for all the youths having the weight of the world thrust upon their shoulders by feckless, loser adults with nothing left to their sad miserable existence than to live vicariously through kids.
