    Tense, uncomfortable and incredibly creepy. Unsane feels a little scattershot to begin with, but the pacing and creeping suspense makes it incredibly entertaining.

    The concept of stalking and paranoia has never been so viscerally captured on film. It's a psychologically challenging watch, and I mean that in a good way.

    A surprisingly good take on the kafkaesque horrors of being a woman. Plays with cliches pretty well, and doesn't get boring or too predictable. Claire Foy looks almost exactly like a young Sarah Paulson.

    The camera and CGI were very good but but but... The film lost its tension in the later stages and turned into a flat movie. It could have been a great ending...

    No amount of camera work, stylistic experimentation, or visual storytelling can save this terrible story. What begins with the promise of a psychological thriller quickly collapses into a poorly executed stalker film. The potential of its premise—could any of us prove we’re sane?—is completely ignored, leaving nothing but a wasted opportunity wrapped in technical ambition.

    Finally caught up with this one. I’m a big fan of Soderbergh’s approach to filmmaking and cinematography. He’s not precious about form or format and I love that he’s kept that sort of indie spirit of calling up some buddies to just go someplace and make a movie. And this is a really solid contained thriller that really nails the paranoia of being involuntarily committed to a mental institution. That said, while the film doesn’t look terrible (I’m not docking any stars), the iPhone cinematography certainly doesn’t look very good, either.
