This movie single handedly jumpstarted my love for all things Sci-Fi. The dialog wasn't the greatest and the story was predictable but if I lost my memory and could watch one movie from scratch, it'd be this one without a doubt.

Titan A.E. is an ambitious and visually striking animated film that showcases Don Bluth’s willingness to push boundaries. The blend of traditional animation with cutting-edge digital effects was outstanding for its time, creating vibrant action sequences and a sleek sci-fi aesthetic that still holds up today. The soundtrack, packed with late-90s rock and alternative bands, adds tremendous energy and perfectly complements the film’s rebellious, post-apocalyptic tone. However, despite its strong presentation, the story feels like it needed another pass. The central plot is serviceable but could have benefited from deeper worldbuilding and more emotional development. Some characters—like Cale and Akima—are memorable and engaging, while others feel undercooked. The Drej, as the primary antagonists, especially needed more nuance and clearer motivations to elevate the stakes. Still, as a longtime Don Bluth fan, I appreciate Titan A.E. for its bold creativity and technical achievements. It’s an enjoyable, if imperfect, sci-fi adventure that deserved more recognition.
