I think they just upped the scope on this and just lost sight of the project entirely. However, the philosophical stuff is still great and is this movies saving grace.

The heavy philosophical dialogue in the final act can feel more like a lecture than a narrative. Verdict While it lacks the tight narrative perfection of the original, this sequel is a thrilling, ambitious spectacle that every sci-fi fan should experience at least once.

- tellum6 septembre 2025The good is that the action is very good despite poor set up in most cases. The bad is the story. The world building that occurs in the first movie is pretty much undone by the end of this movie, and third act is a prime example of how not to end a film.
- Disent7 août 2025Amazing upon rewatch in 4k, after the initial disappointment at the time, this movie is a visual masterpiece, with cgi and practical effects that hold to today and look better than the 4th movie by far. The car freeway scene alone is worth the price of a ticket.
